The Gospel of Jesus’ Wife: The story so far

Gospel of Jesus's Wife--Karen King photoA readable summary of Week One of the ‘Gospel of Jesus’s Wife’ debate to date can be found at the Rogueclassicist   blog. Ariel Sabar’s initial Smithsonian Magazine article, prepeared with Karen King’s cooperation, is also still worth reading, though it was written before the controversy over the fragment’s date broke out.

I just listened to your talk at Grace Cathedral on Mary Magdalene. Unfortunately, I had gotten stuck in a long meeting and missed the first part. Also, it apparently was not recorded, so I need to catch up on the material prior to Pope Gregory. Do you have notes you can share or resources I can consult? I see that Karen King has a Gospel of Mary, with commentary, in print and that there is a book on Mary Magdalene the First Apostle by Ann Graham Brock. Would you recommend these? Are there other books you would recommend?
